Kaolin, Feldspar & Quartz Separators
A40K530J Electromagnetic Slurry Iron Remover
The A40K530J is a high-intensity electromagnetic slurry iron remover with a 530 mm magnetic cavity and a theoretical field of up to 20,000 GS. It removes weakly magnetic oxides, rust flakes and other iron contaminants from fine-particle slurries such as kaolin, potassium and sodium feldspar and quartz sand, and from battery material, ceramic, glass, chemical, pharmaceutical and food process streams.

- Installation guidance and remote support for overseas buyers
Specifications
The A40K530J has a 530 mm magnetic cavity, a theoretical field strength of 0–20,000 GS, 380 V input, adjustable excitation power of 0–40 kW (maximum current 0–105 A) and oil–water dual cooling. It uses DN100 slurry connections, a pure-copper excitation coil and weighs about 6 t; throughput depends on your material and is confirmed after a sample test.

Product details
The A40K530J electromagnetic slurry iron remover is a high-intensity, high-gradient wet magnetic separator for purifying fine-particle materials. Slurry enters at the bottom of the 530 mm magnetic cavity and leaves at the top in counter-current flow, passing through a stainless-steel magnetic matrix that captures weakly magnetic iron oxides, rust flakes and similar contaminants. The pure-copper excitation coil is adjustable from 0 to 40 kW, so field strength can be matched to your material.
Technical features
- Fully iron-clad (armoured) outer shell raises magnetic energy utilisation, increasing field strength in the separation zone by more than 10%; field strength at the points of the mesh matrix exceeds 20,000 GS.
- Magnetic circuit designed by computer simulation for a scientific, well-balanced field distribution.
- Fully sealed excitation coil housing: moisture-proof, dust-proof and corrosion-resistant for operation in harsh environments.
- Oil–water or refrigeration-unit cooling dissipates heat from the excitation coil quickly, keeping temperature rise and thermal decay of the magnetic field low.
- Magnetic matrix of special materials in different structures produces a high field gradient for effective iron removal.
- Vibration is applied during both the iron removal and the iron discharge stages for thorough, clean removal of iron.
Applications
High-intensity electromagnetic iron removers of this type remove weakly magnetic oxides, rust flakes and other contaminants from fine-particle materials. They are widely used to purify battery materials, activated carbon, refractory materials, ceramics, glass, quartz powder and other non-metallic minerals, as well as materials in the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries. In mineral processing, the A40K530J is used for iron removal from kaolin, potassium and sodium feldspar and quartz sand slurries to raise whiteness and purity.
Operating cycle
- Switch on the power supply and close the slurry return valve and the iron discharge valve.
- Energise the magnet and feed slurry through the machine for a set period (a few minutes; the cycle time can be set to suit your process).
- Close the slurry inlet and outlet valves and open the return valve to drain the slurry remaining in the machine, then de-energise the magnet.
- With the inlet, outlet and return valves closed, open the iron discharge valve to flush out the iron-bearing material captured on the magnetic matrix.
Free sample test
